Born and raised in Italy, Mario Palumbo brings musical arrangements rich in the flavor of the Mediterranean culture.

In his teen years, he had already made his mark, performing as guitarist and vocalist in Italy and in Norway.

In 1983, after performing for six years on board Norwegian Cruise Lines, Mario came to the United States. Mario served as band leader/performer in the renowned Omni 1 Band, for twenty three years, with thousands of enthusiastic, satisfied customers throughout the Baltimore/Washington area.

"One of my dreams has always been to play jazz.
When I was 27, I took guitar lessons with Bob Palmieri. I was also very fortunate to have Rich Franks as a drummer in my band. You are bound to be inspired from a musician who has shared the stage with such notable figures as Jaco Pastorius, John Patitucci, and Herbie Hancock! I am thrilled to have the time to focus on my bass, my jazz trio and my recording studio."
